General Information

Description

The Interwrite Workspace Suite of products and services was designed to make collaboration in the workplace and school efficient and simple. The Interwrite Workspace software included with the Interwrite Workspace products accomplishes this with the following tools:

Supported Operating Systems

·

·                         Supported Devices

The following devices are supported by the Interwrite Device Manager, which is installed as part of Interwrite Workspace.

·

·                         Operating Notes

  • The "Ink" System Preferences panel is activated only when a GTCO CalComp/Interwrite USB device, is plugged in. A bug in OS X that was introduced in OS X 10.4 prevents bluetooth devices from being able to activate Inkwell (handwriting recognition.)
  • When operating in Whiteboard Mode, the cursor pointer on the computer screen remains where the system mouse last pointed. The electronic InterWrite Pen draws correctly on the Whiteboard, but the pen pointer does not follow it on the computer screen.

·

·                         Known Issues - Interwrite Workspace

  • Double-clicking a GWB file to open Workspace does not always cause the file to be loaded after the Workspace application launches.

·

·                         Known Issues - Device Manager

·       Added a debugging Logging feature for trouble-shooting to the Devices option in Device Manager.

·       Added a Toolbox with additional InterWrite tools to the Toolbar.

·       Added a new page tool to the Create menu called Page with Last Image. It adds a new page with only the last image used, unlike the Duplicate Page option, which adds a new page with everything from the previous page – images and annotations.

·       Added a Partial Screen Capture tool to the Toolbox and another to the Insert menu. The Partial Screen Capture tool displays a cross that you use to drag over the portion of the screen you want to capture. The Toolbox Partial Screen Capture tool adds the partial screen capture to a new page, while the Insert Partial Screen Capture tool inserts it on the current page. Use the Selection tool to move either partial screen capture around on the page.

·       Added a Pictures directory that has a library of graphics that can be used with the Insert Picture menu option.

·       Added a Spotlight tool. It covers the image page with a black screen. Click on a location on the black screen where you want to “spotlight” what’s underneath. Or, click and drag the Spotlight around to reveal different areas of the underlying page.

·       Added filled rectangles.

·       Added a Text tool with an on-screen Keyboard, which will display only if an InterWrite device is connected. Click on the page where you want to enter typed text. If the on-screen Keyboard does not display, you can enter typed text from your Mac keyboard.

·       Added a Check for Updates option to Device Manager and the Help menu, which allows you to update the InterWrite software from the Internet as newer versions become available.

·       Added an Order option and a Group option to the Edit menu which provide the ability to change the stacking order of entities and to group them.

·       Added support for 19 programmable SoftKeys for InterWrite Pads.

·       Added a link to the GTCO CalComp online Documentation Library -- where you can access Technical Bulletins, electronic manuals, FAQs, and other downloadable documentation -- to the Help menu.

·       Upgraded the InterWrite Bluetooth device connection feature in the Devices Properties dialog from Connect at Startup to Auto-connect.

·       Added the ability to cut/copy/paste text to/from the Mac system clipboard.

·       You can now edit the color and line width of polyline, line and rectangle entities.

·       Added a master device file, which allows users who log in after the Admin to inherit the devices set up by the Admin.

·       Created a single CD for both Windows and Mac InterWrite installs.

·       All InterWrite devices now stay awake when any device is being used.

·       Annotations on pictures would get hidden when the page was duplicated.

·       The InterWrite Toolbar locked up at times.

·       Erasing did not split polylines.

·       The Floating Toolbar would sometimes go off the edges of the screen.

·       After an entry is pasted, right-click option does not show color and width.

·       After moving or sizing a selected object, with the selection box gone, the object could still be cut or copied.

·       Changed automatic file name syntax to match InterWrite for Windows.

·       GWBs saved in one resolution do not display correctly when read in at another resolution.

·       Bluetooth Pads needed to be "beeped" to wake up.

·       User was unable to copy or paste a copied picture.

·       The cursor sometimes disappeared.

·       The Device Name now defaults to the "derived" name.

·       Disconnecting a USB device while its Property window is displayed causes a crash.

·       An image page is not displayed correctly when the Floating Toolbar is set to "Always," or "Never."

·       Stretched polylines, lines and rectangles that are erased do odd things.

·       Improved the performance of the "View" menu.

·       Added an Online Documentation hyperlink to the corporate Web site In the About box.

·       Increased the maximum custom width to 100 (it was 60).

·       The Lock Pads option locked out all the pads including the one being used to do the locking.

·       Moving a pasted entity sometimes showed part of the image in its original location.

·       Unable to capture a full-screen PowerPoint slide when Toolbar docking is set to Autohide.

·       On the Insert Picture Chooser, the user can no longer select an application.

·       Open a saved file and click on the Page Sorter tool. Not all the thumbnails are displayed.

·       Removed the Screen Capture option from the Device Manager menu.

·       Using Save file after an initial Save done with the Save As... option saved the file in the wrong directory.

·       When a rectangle is partially erased, dividing it into 2 pieces, it showed as 3 pieces.

·       The size of the Selection Rectangle changed when a cut/copy is executed and pasted on a different page.

·       The Selection Rectangle disappeared when the 'Choose Width' option is selected from the width menu.

·       When using Device Manager dialog boxes, the selected buttons flickered.
